Short Biography

Chris Lynch is the creator of “Welcome to Neverbury”. Released in 2023, the book was an Amazon #1 bestseller in October 2023 and a KDP Select All Star in November 2023. Chris’ previous work includes a range of Doctor Who spin-offs featuring Brigadier Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart and characters from the “Haisman Universe” that have reached #1 on Amazon in multiple categories. His book “Curse of the Mirror Clowns” was nominated for a Scribe award in 2019.

Chris has also written a feature film, now on general release across a number of streaming platforms with a major US distributor attached, as well as TV pilots, comic books, audio dramas, and a best-selling book on digital marketing.


Long Biography

Books and Comics

Chris Lynch is the creator of “Welcome to Neverbury”. Released in 2023, the book was an Amazon #1 bestseller in October 2023 and a KDP Select All Star in November 2023.

Chris has also written Doctor Who spin-off books in the extended Haisman universe for Candy Jar Publishing. Over the past few years, he has written a number of books, novellas, and short stories for Candy Jar. His first children’s book, “Curse of the Mirror Clowns“, was shortlisted for a Scribe Award in 2019. He followed this with the critically acclaimed novel “The George Kostinen Mystery”, part of the “Bloodlines” series. For the past few years, Chris has written popular Christmas novellas that have been made available for free to online subscribers.

Before he wrote novels, Chris was a prolific comic book creator as one-half of the comic book studio Monkeys with Machineguns. As well as self-publishing their own comics, the team worked with a range of comic book publishers in the UK and US including The Judge Dredd Megazine, Arcana, Metaverse, The Psychedelic Journal of Time Travel, 2026 Books, Accent UK, Something Wicked, The Sorrow, The Mad Scientist Journal, KZine, Wilde Times, Another Realm, 10thology, Midnight Hour, and Insomnia Publications.

TV/Film and Radio

Chris is co-writer/producer at Welsh independent film studio The Black Room. Their first short film “The Black Room” has been featured on Amazon Prime Video and their first feature film, OffWorld, is currently on general release across a number of streaming platforms with a major US distributor attached.

More or less once a week, you can hear Chris on South Wales ONE (formerly ACJ Radio) on the Soundclash. This show is syndicated worldwide with an audience as far away as Australia! (This is a late-night show and so probably not suitable for younger fans!)

The Day Job

During the day Chris is currently the IT Director of Source Insurance. Prior to this he was the founder and CTO of Cardiff based digital agency Gravit-e for almost ten years and spent eight years before that working for the National Health Service on a wide range of software projects. Chris is also a founder director at TruTech and ReturnApp.

Chris’ book on digital marketing and search engine optimization, “The Truth About SEO“, has been a number one download on Amazon across multiple categories. A strong advocate of open source technologies Chris shares his thoughts on software and open-source advice on his website.

Other Stuff When Chris isn’t working he’s probably cooking, messing about with hypnotism, helping out at Cardiff 61st Scout Group, or just making a general nuisance of himself.
